At MKD Electrical, we understand the importance of accuracy when it comes to electrical fault finding. That's why we use thermal imaging cameras to quickly and accurately locate faults. Thermal imaging cameras are suitable for any electrical applications, whether it's domestic, commercial or industrial. Thermal imaging identifies areas of high heat, which are often indicative of an electrical fault. We can quickly and accurately locate faults by using thermal imaging, saving you time and money. What Is Thermal Imaging?

Thermographic Imaging scans are an extremely useful tool in identifying potential faults in your electrical systems. They will provide detailed information on the temperature of various parts of an apparatus within your installation. These scans, and images produced, can detect trouble before it becomes a serious issue. Switchboard scans, in particular, can pinpoint hot joints that will, in time, become more serious and have the potential to cause fire and extensive switchboard damage. Regular switchboard checks (most customers take an annual approach) can be the best way to save on productivity downtime, disruption of services and costly repairs.

Thermal Imaging Equipment We Use

We at MKD Electrical utilise the FLIR range of thermal imaging cameras. The FLIR E30 offers temperature ranges from -20 to 350 C. The 160 x 120-pixel resolution provides impressive infrared image quality, and a laser pointer aids with aiming. The camera also features a 2MP visual digital camera with LED light for shooting in low light conditions. The FLIR E30 will simultaneously capture a digital image and an infrared image for easy location of potential faults later.
